Skincare loves......

Something a little different from me this week.

For many years I have loved lotions and potions, whether it's for the mind, body or spirit. All of these can make such a difference to our day to day lives. Of course I will always recommend homeopathic remedies and flower essences, all working from the inside. So what about the outside?

When you are young you have the most beautifully bouncy skin and don't even realise it until you get older and look back to those times when you simply 'glowed' More and more people are having botox and fillers because they want to keep that 'youthful' look. We all want to look and feel our best and it is all a personal choice after all. For me, being the 'scaredy cat' that I am, I just use skincare to help me with my skincare needs.

So what do I use? In lockdown I decided to have a clear out, like many people did and when I counted up how much I had spent on the multitude of bottles and pots of this and that, I knew I had to put a stop to it. I had many miniatures from beauty advent calendars, never used, so as much as I liked having them it was pointless if they sat in a box in my wardrobe shelves. I binned a lot of it as the dates had expired and the rest I gave to family and friends. I researched online and the brand that jumped out at me was Dr Hauschka. They call themselves "Pioneers of natural cosmetics" and being formed in the year I was born I felt it was a sign. I bought a cleanser, toner, eye cream and moisturiser and couldn't wait for it to turn up so I could give it a go. It took about a month for me to see results and I haven't looked back. I absolutely love everything I have tried so far and my skin has never looked better. The textures and smells are exquisite and make me want to do a full routine every day and night. I am ultra sensitive too and haven't had any issues with their products so far. I can't believe I haven't swayed once and continue to use this brand alone.

For my birthday I like to get a beauty advent calendar....oh no I hear you cry, but this year I was given the Dr Hauschka one. It is killing me not to have a peak into the little cotton drawstring sacks but I will hold out until December because it will make each day an exciting one!

I am in no way affiliated with this company but if you like to go down the natural route with what you put on your body, as well as inside it, I would thoroughly recommend Dr Hauschka. I still have to try their haircare and once I am finished with what I currently use I will give it a go. I will do a post in the next week or so on my hair as I have had an interesting journey with that over the years.

Have a great weekend all.
